Motherhood

Being a Mama means a lot. It means different things to every woman. There are many different forms of "mamas". For me, I finally feel like a Mom. It was all so new with Liam. Then when we lost him, I knew I was a mom, but it didn't feel like it. I wasn't doing mom things.... I had no living children at home. When I finally had our daughter I felt like a mom. However I was such a scared mom. I listened to every breath. Every hiccup, fever, noise sent me to a spiral of fear. Her first laugh had me worried because I didn't know what a newborn giggle sounded like. It was beautiful to have her, but so terrifying of losing someone and something I loved so much again. When the twins came, I felt so much more comfortable. I'm finally at a place where I can enjoy them all so much more, innocently again. I still have moments that set me back. I know I'm overly sensitive, and a helicopter mom, but I'm doing the best I know how while enjoying every moment possible. I asked for this and prayed for this and I'm so grateful for every day of this happily ever after.
